    About Vermilion

Vermilion is a brilliant red-orange that almost glows. It's one of the brightest, most saturated reds, with strong orange undertones.

Made from cinnabar ore, vermilion was one of the most prized pigments in ancient times. Chinese artists used it for centuries. It was expensive and sometimes toxic to produce.

Vermilion is excellent for Asian-inspired designs, traditional art, and anything that needs to pop. It's too intense for large areas but perfect for accents and highlights. Popular in Chinese New Year designs.
